On Tuesday night at 9 am EST, you can always find me engrossed in one of my favorite television shows, This Is Us.  In case you haven’t seen this Emmy award-winning series featured on NBC, This Is Us follows the lives and families of two parents and their three children in several different time frames.

Last week, the matriarch was diagnosed with MCI, mild cognitive impairment, a condition if detected early could delay the early onset of Alzheimer’s/Detection.  What a beautiful, sudden approach to increasing awareness about a real condition that affects millions. So, I thought I would share an app that could help you manage your brain health.

BrainTest, Inc., a medical software company located in Vancouver, offers a 15-minute cognitive screening app for the detection of MCI on a wide range of tablets and mobile devices.  Featured in Alzheimer’s News Today, BrainTest is the only app test that is scientifically validated and is the digital version of the Self-Administered Gerocognitive Examination (SAGE Test), developed by Dr. Doug Scharre, head neurologist at Ohio State University (OSU).     You should take this test once a year, as you would get an annual physical checkup, to see if your test score changes from the initial test.
